A federal judge made no decision yesterday on a request from owners of an upscale hotel under construction at West Broad Village for a temporary injunction granting them ownership of the building the hotel occupies. The owners of Aloft Richmond West last week asked U.S. District Judge Richard L. Williams to grant a temporary injunction forcing the developer, Orlando Fla.-based Unicorp National Developments, to complete work on a parking garage, make infrastructure improvements and complete the purchase of a part of the hotel’s building.

A federal judge yesterday put off ruling on a dispute between the owners of an upscale hotel being built in West Broad Village and the center’s developers until Monday, asking the parties to work toward a compromise over the weekend. The decision by U.S District Judge Richard L. Williams came in response to a request filed Thursday by the owners of Aloft Richmond West asking for a temporary injunction against Orlando, Fla.-based Unicorp National Developments, the project’s developer.
