Win comes down to a push for Busch
TALLADEGA, Ala.—Kyle Busch used a generous bump from teammate Aric Almirola a few hundred yards from the finish to win the Mountain Dew 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Talladega Superspeedway yesterday. Busch and Almirola pulled wide behind leader Todd Bodine on the final lap, and Almirola nudged Busch’s No. 51 Toyota to the front. They overtook Bodine just before the finish line in fading daylight at the 2.66-mile oval.

Kyle Busch pulls away to wiin third truck series race
Kyle Busch pulled away from Matt Crafton on the closing laps to easily win the O’Reilly 200 truck series race last night at Bristol Motor Speedway. Busch passed Jason White for the lead on Lap 124 and then steadily pulled away from Crafton after the race’s final caution period on Lap 175. Driving the No.51 Toyota for Billy Ballew, Busch claimed his second consecutive win at the .533-mile short track and his third victory of the season. He has 12 victories in the three NASCAR national touring series this season.

Hornaday extends win streak to three
SPARTA, Ky. - Ron Hornaday Jr. held off a late surge from Mike Skinner to win the NASCAR Camping World Truck race yesterday at Kentucky Speedway, the third consecutive victory for the series points leader. Hornaday, a three-time series champion, became the first driver to win twice in the 10-year history of the Built Ford Tough 225. He also won in 2006 at the 1½-mile track in northern Kentucky.

Autos roundup: Kyle Busch turns back Logano
LOUDON, N.H. - Kyle Busch finally figured out a way to win again in NASCAR’s Nationwide Series. After two straight frustrating runner-up finishes in the second tier series, Busch passed Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Joey Logano near the end of the Camping World 200 yesterday and held off the precocious 19-year-old to earn the victory at New Hampshire International Speedway.

NASCAR notes: Truck race rained out
Heavy showers put a damper on things at Martinsville Speedway yesterday. NASCAR officials canceled both early day practice sessions and postponed the Camping World Truck Series event, the Kroger 250. Track workers raced between intermittent rain to dry the track for practices. They did manage to dry it enough for Rick Crawford to capture the pole for the truck race, which was rescheduled for noon tomorrow.
