Hall, D-Richmond, lamenting the loss of his institutional knowledge, another candidate announced his bid to replace the longtime delegate. Carlos Brown, a corporate finance lawyer, is joining the hopefuls vying to succeed Hall in the 69th House of Delegates district.

McQuinn Brown Democrats in parts of Richmond and Henrico and Chesterfield counties will pick their nominee today to replace Richmond Mayor-elect Dwight Clinton Jones in the House of Delegates. The primary campaign season was short—a couple of weeks—because the party’s nomination is tantamount to victory in the heavily Democratic district.

Carlos Brown, a corporate finance lawyer from Henrico County, will battle Richmond City Councilwoman Delores L. McQuinn for the Democratic nomination in the 70th House of Delegates District.
