Football: Powhatan 56, Caroline 0
Landen Bradley led a punishing ground attack with 130 yards and three touchdowns as the Indians routed the Cavaliers in a non-district matchup. Powhatan rolled up 381 yards and eight touchdowns on 34 carries in cruising to the win. Shawn Minor (160 total yards) struck for two scores in the first quarter and Ray Brown capped the night with touchdowns in his only carries.

Football: King William 42, Caroline 7
CENTRAL GARAGE—Lewis Redmond passed for one touchdown and ran for another, and Devonte Temple ran for two short scores and a two-point conversion in the Cavaliers’ win. Redmond was 13 of 24 for 247 yards, connecting with Daryl Powell six times for 116 yards and tossing a 10-yard TD strike to Devin Carey. Caroline’s Zach Crabtree completed 6 of 20 passes for 114 yards and a touchdown, with Quinton Broaddus on the receiving end each time.

Football: Henrico 40, Caroline 6
Timone Brown and Taiquane McCoy each returned an interception for a touchdown to lead the Warriors (1-0) to a win over host Cavaliers (0-1). Blaize Torrence opened the scoring by catching a 23-yard pass from Treyvon Robinson and Henrico led 7-6 after one quarter. After DeQuan Martin scored on a 24-yard pass from Robinson, Brown returned an interception 46 yards for a touchdown and McCoy had a 58-yard interception return to give the Warriors a 26-6 lead.
