Football: Deep Run 29, John Marshall 12
Michael Wood did it all on defense as Deep Run topped John Marshall (1-2, 3-3) in a Colonial District Matchup. Wood blocked a kick, recovered a fumble, picked a ball, deflected a pass and recorded three tackles for the Wildcats (2-1, 3-3). Deep Run’s Kenny Williams was 8 of 20 passing for 118 yards and a TD, and Sara Bradley hit three consecutive field goals from 30, 32 and 28 yards, respectively.
Football: Douglas Freeman 34, Thomas Jefferson 6
Mack Hudgins ran for a touchdown and threw for another and the Rebels defense came up with two defensive touchdowns in a big second half to defeat the Vikings. Thomas Jefferson (0-3 Colonial, 0-6) led 6-0 at half after Guy Roane caught a 6-yard touchdown pass from Marvin Robinson (16 for 38, 130 yards, 1 TD, 4 interceptions). Darius Simpson had seven receptions for 87 yards for the Vikings.
Football: Patrick Henry 21, Mills Godwin 7
Devonte Derricott ran for two touchdowns and made nine tackles on defense to lead the Patriots over the Eagles. Derricott finished with nine carries for 77 yards, and Jayrin Waller had 16 carries for 85 yards and a TD for Patrick Henry (2-1 Colonial, 2-4), which totaled 226 yards of offense. Derek Whitaker made 19 carries on 79 yards, including a 25-yard touchdown run for Mills Godwin (1-2, 2-4).

Football: John Marshall 27, Patrick Henry 24
Jamar Tunstal stepped in for an injured Josiah Shelton and threw a touchdown pass to Lasuane Vaughn with 45 seconds left to give the Justices a Colonial District win over the Patriots. Josiah Shelton was hurt after throwing for 186 yards and a touchdown and rushing for 101 yards and a touchdown. His 60-yard strike to C.J. Shelton gave John Marshall (1-1, 3-2) a 14-3 lead.

John Stiebel put No. 3 Hermitage on the board early with field goals from 23 and 25 yards, and Brendan Riddick passed for 101 yards on 10 completions as the Panthers blanked the Eagles in a Colonial District matchup. Curtis Grant recorded 12 tackles, and Brandon Rogers added 7 with two interceptions, including one for a 57-yard return for Hermitage (2-0, 4-1).
