Tickets on sale: R. Kelly returns to Richmond
R.Kelly will return to Richmond for a Dec. 5 show at the Landmark Theater. The R&B singer last played here in 2007. Kelly will be joined by Pleasure P on what is dubbed the “Ladies Make Some Noise” tour. Tickets for the show go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m. for $50.50-$96. . . .

Get ready for headbanging weekend
We know one thing about this weekend: It’s going to be loud. With a blitz of hard rockers storming the area—you can head north, east, west or to Shockoe Bottom to catch them—it seemed a no-brainer to observe this unusually timed assemblage of guitar shredding and eyeliner.

Chorus seeks new members
The Henrico Pops Chorus, a volunteer community chorus, is seeking new members. The group is looking for men and women, and no audition is required. Rehearsals are held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays at Lakeside United Methodist Church. The group’s focus is on Broadway, pops and seasonal music. A holiday concert and spring concert are planned as well as community performances.

Aerosmith postpones Sunday concert in Virginia Beach
Aerosmith has postponed its Sunday show at Verizon Wireless Virginia Beach Amphitheater because of an unspecified “artist injury.“ The band, on tour this summer with ZZ Top, also postponed last night’s show in Cincinnati and tonight’s gig at Hersheypark Stadium in Pennsylvania. A rescheduled date is expected to be announced soon. Previously purchased tickets will be honored.

James River Singers to perform
The James River Singers will present a concert exploring musical examples of the sacred, the secular and in-between Saturday at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 4602 Cary Street Road, and Sunday at 4 p.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 520 N. Boulevard. “Jesu, Meine Freude,“ one of J.S. Bach’s six motets, dominates the first half of the concert and is the foundation for the rest of the program.
