Two-time All-Metro defensive lineman Derrick Hopkins of Highland Springs will continue his college football career at Virginia Tech. Hopkins, a 6-1, 310-pound junior announced his commitment to the Hokies yesterday. He had 20 tackles, 12 tackles for losses, five sacks, two interceptions and forced three fumbles last fall. His choice was no surprise. His brother, Antoine, is at Virginia Tech.
