Dinwiddie kicker finds his niche  12/05/08 12:01 AM

Back in rec league, Dinwiddie quarterback Adam Morgan and receiver Jerrell White were learning the throw and catch thing that has made them stars in the Generals’ offense. Back then, senior Chad Jones caught a few Morgan passes as well. And while Morgan and White are the most prolific aerial combination in Dinwiddie this season, Jones is the kicker.

Dinwiddie catch corps

The population of Dinwiddie County is listed at 24,533. Apparently the majority are fast pass receivers. Or so it must seem to the Dinwiddie High School Generals’ bedraggled football foes.

Dinwiddie - Sr. QB Adam Morgan isn’t going to sneak up on anyone, he runs, he throws, he dictates the offense; So. LB Andre Thweatt led the team in tackles last week. He’s come up with a turnover in each of the past two games, and he’s listed at 5-5, 160.

A defense’s challenge  11/22/08 12:01 AM

A no-huddle offense is supposed to not only rattle the defense, but also keep the same defenders on the field without time for substitutions. But the pace of Dinwiddie’s hurry-up offense isn’t what concerns Hanover coach Josh Just most.

Morgan, Generals oust Rebels  11/18/08 1:01 AM

Dinwiddie quarterback Adam Morgan knew this season wouldn’t end like the last one. Douglas Freeman shut down the Generals’ opening possession in the Central Region Division 5 semifinals. In three plays, the Rebels pushed the powerful Dinwiddie offense back 4 yards and poked the ball loose from Morgan. After taking over at the Dinwiddie 31-yard line, the Rebels needed just four more plays for senior Robby Blanchard to find the end zone on a 14-yard run.
