The Lifelong Learning Institute, 13801 Westfield Drive in Chesterfield County, has scheduled two events in April. There will be an Art Fair on Friday, April 17 from 1-2 p.m. The event will showcase art work—paintings in various mediums, sculpting, glass jewelry, floral arrangements and wood carving—by institute students. Refreshments, piano music and demonstrations also will be featured throughout the afternoon.

The King William Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department will hold a saltfish breakfast from 6 to 9 a.m. Feb. 21 to raise money for the agency. In addition, the department will hold two other fundraisers: a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. March 21 and an open house from noon to 4 p.m. May 16. For more information, call (804) 769-4311.
