Vaughan-Bassett Furniture plans to invest $2.15 million to expand its manufacturing facility in Galax.

GALAX—Authorities say two adults and their 4-year-old child died in a mobile home fire in southwest Virginia. Grayson County Sheriff Richard Vaughan said in a news release that the adult victims in today’s blaze near Galax were identified as 39-year-old Larry Stephen Lafferty and 28-year-old Amy Stoneman. The identity of their daughter was not available.
