Jazmin Pitts had six rebounds to go along with 18 points in leading Cosby to a 73-22 victory over George Wythe yesterday in Dominion District action. Andrea Bertrand scored 12 points and also grabbed six boards for the Titans, ranked No. 1 in the T-D Top Ten Poll. Becca Wann added 11 points. Shatisha Hardy paced George Wythe with 13 points.

George Wythe grad completes Army basic combat training
Army Pvt. Brian M. Silas has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. During nine weeks of training, Silas studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.
