Henrico’s Carrington Clark is tackled by Deep Run’s Dallas Simmons in the Wildcats’ victory. Not surprisingly, the final score of the Clover Hill-L.C. Bird football game drew a lot of attention and some radio commentary about a basketball score. L.C. Bird, ranked No. 8 in The Times-Dispatch Top 10, won Friday night against the visiting, ninth-ranked Cavaliers 55-53. Numbers such as 108 total points and 853 total yards are likely to generate buzz, especially when they weren’t expected.
