Man indicted for trying to bribe witness in Richmond hit-and-run death
A Chesterfield County man was indicted today on charges that he tried to bribe a witness to lie in court on his behalf in a case involving the hit-and-run death of a 15-year-old girl. A Richmond grand jury indicted Bryan Christopher Shull, 36, of Lake Hills Road on charges of bribery, attempted procurement of perjury, and obstruction of justice, according to Managing Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Tracy Thorne-Begland.

Richmond judge certifies charges in fatal hit-and-run
Charges certified in fatal hit-and-run Sean Beir’s brother was driving the two of them along Walmsley Boulevard to buy cigarettes when Beir felt the pickup truck run over something, he testified yesterday in a Richmond courtroom. From the passenger seat, Beir turned and saw someone lying on the side of the road around 9 or 10 p.m. on Jan. 16. He said he alerted his brother, Bryan Christopher Shull, 36, of Lake Hills Road in Chesterfield County.

Richmond police search for driver in fatal hit-and-run
Richmond police are searching for an injured driver who fled the scene of a fatal hit-and-run yesterday near CJW Medical Center (Chippenham). The early morning crash occurred when a car and an SUV collided against a Jersey barrier at the Jahnke Road exit ramp off northbound Chippenham Parkway. The driver of the SUV, Fredy Cedero Aldama, 25, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene, police said. The car’s driver left before police arrived, authorities said.

Man pleads guilty to Henrico hit and run
A Henrico man was taken to jail this morning after pleading guilty to charges that he killed a 66-year-old man on a motor scooter in a hit and run last year. Leonard Ledbetter Jr. agreed to begin serving a sentence today that will be formally determined at a hearing April 22. Testimony from Henrico Investigator J.R. Howard showed that Ledbetter was traveling at least 74 mph Sept. 28 on Azalea Avenue near Henrico High School when his car struck a scooter operated by Calvin Archer. Archer was returning to a sister’s home from choir practice.

Chesterfield man faces more charges
A Chesterfield County man has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in a hit-and-run that killed a 15-year-old girl in South Richmond, police said. Bryan Christopher Shull, 36, was arrested Jan. 28 and charged with hit-and-run and giving false information to police in the death of Tiara Rosa of New York on Jan. 16. Shull was charged Jan. 29 with involuntary manslaughter. Police announced that charge yesterday. Rosa was hit by a pickup while walking with her mother in the 4400 block of Walmsley Boulevard. She died the next day.
