Tinh Phan has received the Minority Small-Business Champion of 2009 award for SBA Region III from the Small Business Administration. He is chairman of the Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce. Cleo Battle, vice president of sales and services at the Richmond Metropolitan Convention & Visitors Bureau, has received an APEX Distinguished Service Award from Black Meetings and Tourism magazine for his contributions to the travel and tourism industry, specifically the African-American market.
