Chesapeake foundation can challenge King William reservoir
The Chesapeake Bay Foundation has won the right to pursue its legal challenge of a planned reservoir in King William County. A three-judge panel of the Court of Appeals of Virginia overturned a Richmond Circuit Court decision that barred the environmental group from pursuing the challenge. The bay group is challenging a 2006 state decision to extend Newport News’ permit to move ahead with the reservoir.
I DID IT MYSELF
Type text of update here. PROJECT: Recycled kitchen table and chairs TIME: Periodically over the summer COST: $170 HOW HE DID IT: Roger Volk bought some tables from a Hanover County thrift store in 2000. This past summer, he finally found the time to restore one that he decided would make a great addition to his home. The irresistible treasure is a retro 1950s porcelain enamel-topped table with pull-out wings. The surface and trim are fire-engine red.
