S.C. pardons 2 black men executed 94 years ago
A South Carolina board today unanimously pardoned two great-uncles of syndicated radio host Tom Joyner who were executed for the 1913 murder of a Confederate Army veteran.

Chester mom Hannah Keeley’s show on local PBS affiliate
Hannah Keeley, a Chester wife and mother of seven, kicks off a new facet to her burgeoning mom-pire this weekend—a TV show. “Hannah Help Me!“ has been picked up by PBS stations nationwide. Beginning tomorrow, it will air Saturdays at 7 a.m. on Richmond affiliate WCVE. The reality show features Keeley helping America’s overwhelmed mothers manage their households, declutter their homes, get in shape and try to take control of their personal lives and careers.

“Generation Next: “VCU grad profiled on PBS’ ‘The NewsHour’
Brian Marroquin had an unusual last month on campus as he prepared to graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University—he was trailed by a camera crew from PBS. But the reason “The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer” was pursuing his story was not so unusual. Like other members of the Class of 2009, Marroquin was graduating into a deep recession and finding he must defer his dreams.
