The state medical examiner’s office is unable to determine a cause of death for the human remains unearthed in April from a shallow grave in Amelia County, a spokesman said yesterday. Advanced decomposition has forced the medical examiner’s office to rule the cause of death as undetermined for the skeletal remains believed to be those of Clent Chavers, according to Steve Murman, a spokesman for the office.

A Louisa County Grand Jury yesterday indicted Ulisa Mary Chavers on four charges in connection with the discovery of her boyfriend’s body in the bottom of a well in March. She is charged with concealing a body, identity theft, creditcard fraud and possession of a sawed-off rifle. On March 6, authorities found the body of Chavers’ boyfriend, Reginal Cody Bowles, in a well on his property in the Mineral area, where Chavers also lived.

A Louisa County judge yesterday certified to a grand jury three charges against Ulisa Mary Chavers in the discovery of her boyfriend’s body at the bottom of a well last month. Judge Susan L. Whitlock of Louisa Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court certified charges of concealing a body, credit-card fraud and identity theft to the grand jury that is set to meet Monday.

Authorities have arrested the girlfriend of a missing Louisa County man after a body believed to be his was found at the bottom of a well Friday. Ulisa Marie Chavers, 60, was charged early yesterday morning with concealment of a dead body, possession of a sawed-off rifle, identity theft and credit-card fraud, all felonies, said Maj.
