Green Top Sporting Goods, a landmark store on U.S. 1 that specializes in guns and gear for hunting and fishing, could move into a bigger building at its site just north of Virginia Center Commons.

These rezoning requests were submitted to the following planning departments recently: HENRICO COUNTY Redco Properties LLC, provisional-use permit that would allow a Bojangles’ Famous Chicken’n Biscuits fast-food restaurant at Nine Mile Road and South Laburnum Avenue.

Living near the county line has insulated the residents of a western Henrico County neighborhood from the hustle and bustle of nearby Short Pump. But it may also bring them closer to an unwanted mountaintop view.
