Brown will remove graffiti, pick up trash, Norwood says
Richmond’s police chief says his department is prepared to put Chris Brown to work performing manual labor such as graffiti removal and picking up trash as part of a sentence imposed by a California judge. The manual tasks were listed in a letter written by Richmond Police Chief Bryan T. Norwood to Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg, who sentenced Brown in the beating of his ex-girlfriend, pop singer Rihanna.

Richmond Police Chief Bryan T. Norwood confirmed last night that his department will supervise Chris Brown’s community-labor sentence that was imposed yesterday by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg. “Judge Schnegg may be assured that we will be diligent in maintaining the proper records of Mr. Brown’s work activities and schedule,“ Norwood said in a written statement.

Chris Brown pleads guilt to felony assault
Chris Brown has pleaded guilty to one count of felony assault on pop star Rihanna. Brown, a native of Tappahannock, entered his plea before a preliminary hearing was scheduled to start in Los Angeles yesterday. Rihanna had been on standby to testify.

ORLANDO, Fla.—R&B singer Chris Brown and former girlfriend Rihanna were among the celebrities in the crowd at the fourth game of the NBA Finals in Orlando. They were sitting on opposite ends of the same row under the basket Thursday night at Amway Arena. Brown, a native of Tappahannock, Va., is accused of beating then-girlfriend Rihanna after a pre-Grammy party in February in Los Angeles. The case is still pending.
