Blair awaits chance to speak
WASHINGTON Kelly Blair was expecting to speak before a grand jury yesterday investigating Roger Clemens. With his appearance postponed a week, the former bodybuilder and gym owner said again in an interview he never supplied Clemens with performance-enhancing substances. Blair told The Associated Press he has taken steroids himself in the past and given them to other people, but “there were no pro athletes involved.“ He said he has never met Clemens and denies providing the seven-time Cy Young Award winner with steroids or human growth hormone.

Source: Lab testing evidence in case against Roger Clemens
WASHINGTON—A person close to the Roger Clemens case tells The Associated Press that the country’s leading doping lab is testing syringes and vials the baseball star’s former personal trainer gave federal investigators to determine whether the items contain traces of performance-enhancing drugs. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is still ongoing into whether Clemens lied under oath to Congress last year when he denied using steroids or human growth hormone.

Sources: Grand jury looking at Clemens case
WASHINGTON—A federal grand jury is investigating whether Roger Clemens lied to Congress last year, two people briefed on the matter told The Associated Press today. Both spoke on condition of anonymity because grand jury proceedings are supposed to be secret. Congress asked the Justice Department to look into whether the seven-time Cy Young Award winner lied last February when he testified under oath at a deposition and a public House hearing that he never took illegal performance-enhancing drugs.
