Chesterfield County police shot and wounded a resident of a Midlothian apartment complex last night after he opened fire on members of the department’s SWAT team, authorities said. The gunman, whose identity was not released, was taken to VCU Medical Center for treatment, police said in a statement that was read by Capt. Dave Stone. The incident began shortly after 6 p.m., when police received a disturbance call that a resident of the Park at Salisbury Apartments was brandishing a gun at an employee.
