Huckabee and McAuliffe in war of words
Former GOP presidential contender Mike Huckabee exhorted Virginia Republicans to rally votes for their governor’s race this fall. And if that doesn’t work, well, flatten the Democrats’ tires and keep ‘em home, he joked. The former Arkansas governor made the remark Monday at an event for presumptive GOP nominee Bob McDonnell in Tazewell County. The audience chuckled.

Judge: Tazewell exempt from $25 million lawsuit
TAZEWELL—A $25 million lawsuit against Tazewell County and its School Board has been dismissed. Circuit Judge Henry Vanover ruled last week that the county and the School Board were exempt because of sovereign immunity. But Vanover let the case go forward against school system employees Karen Webb, Debbie Smith, Angela Cox and Brad Strong.
