Ka’lia Johnson had 19 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals to help lead No. 2 Thomas Dale over Central District rival Petersburg 52-39 last night. Alyssa Frye tallied 12 points and four steals, and Taylor Bradley added nine rebounds and two steals for the Knights. Ashley Whitaker paced the Crimson Wave with 18 points.

Even missing almost half of its starting lineup, Kellam rolled through the Titan Duals. The Knights defeated host Cosby 50-24 in the championship match. SATs, injuries, concussion, even homework - there were plenty of reasons why some of coach Mike Benzel’s starters stayed off the mat yesterday. “We thought we still had a good shot,“ he said.
