Roanoke man guilty in online threat
A Roanoke man has pleaded guilty to charges he threatened a San Francisco area transit policeman in an online posting. U.S. Attorney Julia Dudley said 47-year-old Jeffrey Lynn Weaver pleaded guilty yesterday to one count of sending a threatening communication. Prosecutors say Weaver threatened to kill the transit policeman and his family in a blog posting on radio host Alex Jones’ Infowars.com.

Richmond man pleads guilty to mailing threat to congressman
A Richmond man is facing up to 20 years in prison for writing a letter threatening a U.S. official in Vietnam. Phuong Nguyen Le, 50, pleaded guilty yesterday in federal court to one count of sending a threatening communication. He admitted sending a bloody letter to Rep. Robert C. Scott, D-3rd, threatening U.S. Consular Section Chief Charles Bennett in Ho Chi Minh City.
