Trinity Episcopal’s Will White completed a 56-yard pass to Andrew Sarlo with 47 seconds left to secure Trinity Episcopal’s victory. Nansemond-Suffolk running back Domonique Lennon scored with 1:08 in the game to give the Saints (6-3) a 28-27 lead. White completed 21 of 27 passes for 260 yards, 5 TDs and an interception for Trinity (4-5). Sarlo caught eight passes for 119 yards and two TDs. Trinity’s Michael Moore had 2 sacks for 19 yards and 2 tackles for loss for 10 yards.

Connor Bradley Trinity Episcopal/ Baseball What he did: Whether it was pitching or hitting, Bradley, a junior, produced some big-time numbers as the Titans went 6-1. He was 3-0 on the mound with a complete game against Atlantic Shores and a one-hitter against Christchurch. He was 15 for 22 at the plate, drove in 16 runs, scored 10 times, slugged four home runs and had two doubles. Trinity Episcopal fells No. 10 Collegiate  01/21/09 12:01 AM

The Collegiate Cougars girls basketball team has pulled out close-game victories four times this season. The Trinity Episcopal Titans turned the tables on the visiting Cougars, ranked No. 10 in The Times-Dispatch Top 10, last night. Trinity Episcopal rallied from an eight-point deficit at halftime, took the lead on a pair of free throws by Jennifer Smith with 57 seconds remaining and came away with a 42-38 League of Independent Schools victory. The loss was Collegiate’s first.

Homestanding Trinity Episcopal used tough defense to overcome an 8-point halftime deficit and defeat No. 10 Collegiate in an League of Independent Schools matchup. Trinity’s Jillian Brown and Jordan Brown applied pressure on Collegiate’s perimeter players. When Collegiate was able to get the ball inside, Jennifer Smith made Collegiate’s Dominique Meeks work for every point. Meeks had scored 10 in the first half but managed just 5 in the second half.
