Louisa woman faces up to 25 years in hidden body case
Ulisa Mary Chavers pleaded guilty this morning to discarding her boyfriend’s body in a well on his property in Louisa County. She’s also been linked to two other cases in which bodies have been discovered.

Louisa woman to plead guilty to putting boyfriend’s body in well
A woman linked to three mysterious deaths will plead guilty next week to discarding her boyfriend’s body in a well on his property in Louisa County, her attorney said yesterday. Ulisa Mary Chavers has confessed to authorities that she put Reginal Cody Bowles’ body in the 33-foot-deep well, said her attorney, Mike Caudill. The body, wrapped in sleeping bags, was found in March in some water at the bottom of the unused well. Bowles disappeared in early 2007.

Investigators are taking a closer look at the death of a third person with ties to Ulisa Mary Chavers. Authorities said they are examining the death of Eleanor K. Bowles, the mother of Chavers’ boyfriend.

Louisa woman pleads not guilty in body-in-well case
A woman accused of hiding her boyfriend’s body in a well in Louisa County pleaded not guilty to all charges yesterday. Ulisa Mary Chavers, 60, pleaded not guilty to charges of concealing a body, identity theft, credit-card fraud and possession of a sawed-off rifle. A trial was set for Oct. 21. On March 6, authorities found the body of Chavers’ boyfriend, Reginal Cody Bowles, in a well on his property in the Mineral area, where Chavers also lived.
