VCU’s Saintil to have surgery Friday

Virginia Commonwealth University sophomore forward Terrance Saintil is scheduled to undergo surgery on Friday to repair ligament damage in his right thumb. He will miss about two months.

Saintil injured his thumb during practice this past weekend.

The 6-8, 240-pound Saintil averaged 1.7 points, 1.8 rebounds and 7.7 minutes last year as a freshman.
