ACC: Ras-I Dowling, defensive back, Virginia, made 9 tackles, recorded a sack and forced two turnovers that led to touchdowns in the Cavaliers' rout of Indiana; Ryan Williams, rookie, Virginia Tech, tied a freshman record with his fourth 100-yard effort of the season in the Hokies' thumping of Boston College.CAA: Marcus Burley, rookie, Delaware (Highland Springs), returned a fumble for 42 yards for his first touchdown and had a team-high seven tackles as the Blue Hens upset nationally-ranked Massachusetts.
MEAC: Dennis Brown, offensive, Norfolk State, set a school single-game record for accuracy by completing 18 of 21 passes for 229 yards and two touchdowns; Jerome Johnson, offensive lineman, Norfolk State, helped the Spartans to 214 yards rushing and 443 yards total in their 46-6 demolition of Hampton.
Big South: Liberty defense, defense, Liberty, intercepted four passes, recorded three sacks and held the Chanticleers to 175 yards; Matt Bevins, special teams, Liberty, made all eight of his kicks including three field goals in the Flames 58-13 rout of Coastal Carolina; Aldreakis Allen, rookie, Liberty, ran for 106 yards and three touchdowns and finished with 203 all-purpose yards.
