ACC: Sergio Render, offensive linemen, Virginia Tech, helped pave the way for 200 yards rushing for the Hokies in their 38-10 win over N.C. State; Cody Grimm, defensive back, Virginia Tech, made eight tackles, recorded two sacks and forced three fumbles, tying a single-game record for the Division I bowl subdivision.CAA: Martin Parker, defensive, Richmond, recorded six tackles and a sack to lead a Spider defense that held William and Mary to 10 points, its lowest total of the season; Justin Thorpe, rookie, James Madison (Varina), threw for 259 yards and three touchdowns in the Dukes' 43-12 rout of Towson.
MEAC: Terrell Whitehead, defensive, Norfolk State, had 58-yard interception return for a touchdown and also recovered a fumble in the Spartans' win over Winston-Salem State.
