Facts: This is the Virginia Lottery Labor Day Classic. VSU is Division II. Norfolk State is Football Championship Subdivision. VSU opened last Saturday with a 37-7 win at Livingstone, where Trojan Antwain Lyle rushed for 145 yards and two TDs.

Facts: Old Dominion is playing its first football game since 1940. Chowan, a Division II member of the CIAA, had six turnovers in a 36-21 loss to Albany State in its opener.

Facts: Despite finishing 3-7 last season, King's College defeated ODAC champion Randolph-Macon 34-13 in the opening game of the season. R-MC went 4-2, 6-5 and won the crown on a tiebreaker. The Yellow Jackets are 3-2 in their past five openers.
