Notable: First of a four-year agreement and renewal of a series that James Madison, ranked seventh in FCS, leads 9-5. Teams last met in 2003, with the Dukes winning 48-6. . . . Both JMU coach Mickey Matthews and Liberty coach Danny Rocco said they expect to play two quarterbacks: Drew Dudzik and Justin Thorpe (Varina High) for the Dukes; Tommy Beecher and Mike Brown for the 25th-ranked Flames. Beecher missed last week's game with a mild concussion. Brown moved from his receiver spot and combined for 344 yards passing and rushing. . . . Liberty is 17-3 at home under Rocco, but it hasn't beaten a team ranked in the top 10 in 12 tries.

Edmon McClam has blocked all four extra-points attempts, the last of which helped the Monarchs beat Jacksonville 28-27. Monmouth RB David Sinisi, averaging 102.7 yards, has 55 career rushing TDs. That's tops among active runners in Football Championship Subdivision.

Facts: Hampton senior LB Brandon Roundtree was the MEAC co-defensive player of the week following his six-tackle, two-interception effort in last week's 24-14 victory over North Carolina A&T. Red-zone defense has been a problem for Delaware State. Opponents have penetrated the Hornets' 20-yard-line on nine occasions. Those forays have produced six TDs.
Bethune-Cookman

Chowan has no trouble scoring (24 ppg), but it has considerable trouble holding on to the ball: 17 turnovers in four games.

Fayetteville State's defense allowed only 38 rushing yards, nearly 170 beneath the Broncos' average for the season, in last Saturday's 24-0 conquest of CIAA opponent Saint Paul's.
