Virginia Union wins easy at Lincoln (Pa.)

LINCOLN, Pa. -- Running backs Christopher Smith and Trevon Winston scored two touchdowns apiece, and Virginia Union cruised to a 35-6 victory over Lincoln (Pa.) yesterday.
Smith carried the ball 28 times for 166 yards for the Panthers (4-3), who scored three TDs in the first quarter. Winston rushed for 71 yards against the Lions (3-4).
Aris English finished 9 of 18 for 151 yards, including a 46-yard scoring pass to Jos Jean-Pierre.
Randolph-Macon 23, Frostburg St. (Md.) 19
FROSTBURG, Md. -- Austin Faulkner threw for one score and ran for another as the Yellow Jackets held off Frostburg State (Md.) (0-6).
Faulkner connected with Ian Overstreet on a 5-yard TD, and ran in a 1-yard score. He finished 11 for 21 passing for 88 yards and two interceptions. Christian Stahl led the defensive charge for Randolph-Macon (4-2) with nine solo tackles and one assist.
Hampden-Sydney 23, Emory & Henry 12
EMORY -- Corey Sedlar connected with Anthony Mancini for two touchdowns and the Tigers held off the Wasps for a win.
Sedlar finished 29 for 42 passing for 320 yards and three TDs for Hampden-Sydney (3-0 ODAC, 6-0), which remains undefeated this season.
Caleb Jennings led Emory & Henry (0-1, 4-1), rushing 19 times for 104 yards, including a 74-yard scoring run.

WASHINGTON AND LEE 28, CATHOLIC 14: Jonathan Clemo had his second-straight 100-yard performance, carrying 23 times for 137 yards and on TD as the Generals (1-1 ODAC, 2-4) beat the visiting Cardinals (0-2, 0-5).
MARYVILLE (TENN.) 22, SHENANDOAH 19: Cory Gay connected on field goals of 29 and 27 yards and Vern Lunsford ran for a 10-yard score, but the Hornets (0-2 USA South, 1-4) fell to the visiting Scots (2-0, 3-2).
FERRUM 49, METHODIST 35: Steven Harris had 115 yards rushing and three touchdowns on nine carries to lead the Panthers (1-1 USA South, 3-2) to a home victory over the Monarchs (0-2, 1-4).
CHRISTOPHER NEWPORT 43, AVERETT 12: Tunde Ogun (Douglas Freeman) set a school record with 285 yards on the ground and three touchdowns in leading the Captains (2-0 USA South, 3-2) over the host Cougars.
LAKE ERIE 36, APPRENTICE 3: Phil Caralla was 11 of 21 with two interceptions for 164 yards and Reggie George carried 10 times on 52 yards, but the Builders (1-5) fell to the visiting Storm (4-3).
U.VA.-WISE 32, CAMPBELLSVILLE 31: Danny Hinkle blocked the potential game-winning field goal attempt with 44 seconds remaining to secure the Highland Cavaliers' (3-1 Mid-South East, 4-3) comeback road win over the Tigers (1-1, 3-3).
