Hokies snare two more commitments for 2010

BLACKSBURG -- Virginia Tech has received two more football commitments for the Class of 2010, bringing its number to 15.

One commitment came from Detrick Bonner, a 6-foot, 170-pound defensive back from Luella High in Locust Grove, Ga. Bonner also had scholarship offers from Central Florida, Louisiana-Monroe, Toledo, Troy, Western Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan and Mississippi State, according to recruiting Web site Rivals.com.

The other commitment came from Brian Laiti, a 6-4, 200-pound linebacker from Robinson High in Fairfax. His other offers were from West Virginia, Boston College and Maryland, according to Rivals, which rates him as the 29th-best outside linebacker in the country.

Nine of Tech's commitments for this class have come from the state of Virginia.
