William and Mary wins 38-0

Coach Jimmy Laycock and his William and Mary football team earned their 10th victory of the season Saturday with a win over Weber State in the FCS playoffs.
WILLIAMSBURG William and Mary returned two interceptions for touchdowns and beat visiting Weber State 38-0 in the first round of the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.
The Tribe (10-2) will play the winner of No. 3 seed Southern Illinois and Eastern Illinois next Saturday in the quarterfinals. Jake Trantin picked off a screen pass and returned it 60 yards in the second quarter to give William and Mary a 7-0 lead. The Tribe scored 10 points in a 24-second span just before the half to make it 17-0.
Brian Pate kicked a 27-yard field goal with 36 seconds left, and B.W. Webb returned an interception 58 yards for a touchdown at 0:12. R.J. Archer's 1-yard quarterback sneak on William and Mary's first possession of the second half made it 24-0.
Archer scored on a 6-yard bootleg with 4:21 left in the fourth quarter, and Terrence Riggins scored on a 23-yard run after a Wildcats fumble.
William and Mary had four interceptions and recovered a fumble. Webb, a redshirt freshman, finished with two interceptions. He has seven this season.
