Moyers wins VSGA junior match play title

ROANOKE -- Mikey Moyers, an 18-year-old from Stanardsville, won the VSGA Junior Match Play Championship by defeating 17-year-old Jack Adkins of Martinsville 3 and 2 in the title match. It was the third-consecutive title for Moyers, who will golf at Virginia Tech next year.

The day began with Adkins defeating Dylan Jensen of Ridgeway in 19 holes, and Moyers defeating Zack Hall of Burgess 2 up in the semifinals.
