Scholar-Athlete Award
Deadline for nominations for the Scholar-Athlete award for January is tomorrow.
The award, sponsored by the Richmond Times-Dispatch and the Richmond Sports Backers, goes each month to one male and one female from high schools in the metropolitan Richmond area.
Grade levels 9, 10, 11 and 12 are eligible for the award.
Nominationas must be made by the school's athletic director or the athlete's coach and should be based upon the following criteria:
Specific athletic achievement in December.3.0 GPA from the previous
semester
Current good academic standing.
Good character.
Nominations may be faxed to 775-8085 or mailed to Arthur Utley, Richmond Times-Dispatch, Box 85333, Richmond, VA 23293
