PRINCE GEORGE - Lawrence Taylor rushed 21 times for 170 yards and a touchdown as Prince George took down Central District rival Colonial Heights 26-7 last night.

Matt Harris totaled 56 yards on seven carries and scored two touchdowns for the Royals (1-0, 2-2) and forced two interceptions on defense.

The Colonials (0-1, 2-2) scored their touchdown in the second quarter when Brandon Brown connected with Mike Leung on a 25-yard pass.

James River 19, George Wythe 0

Jessee Wells ran for two touchdowns, and Josh Wells added another as James River (1-1, 1-3) stuck to its ground game in defeating Dominion District foe George Wythe (0-3, 0-4).

Josh Wells had 67 yards, Jesse Wells added 82 and Matt Brooks led the team with 96 on a combined 63 carries. The Rapids threw the ball just four times.

King William 43, Arcadia 8

CENTRAL GARAGE - Jamar Carter ran for three touchdowns and 136 yards on 13 carries as King William dominated Arcadia for its first victory.

Josh Belfield kicked five PATs on six attempts and on defense caused a safety for the Cavaliers (1-3). Antonio Jones blocked two punts and recovered them both to assist King William.

Anthony Miller returned a fumble 100 yards in the fourth quarter for the only touchdown by Arcadia (0-5). Terry Ballard passed to Antonio Kellam for the 2-point conversion.

Brandon Angus intercepted two passes, returning one for a touchdown, and Lee-Davis held Armstrong to 20 yards in a dominating Capital District victory.

The Confederates (1-0, 2-2) totaled 141 yards on the ground. Running back Tucker Walton (105 yards) and quarterback Will Burton each rushed for a touchdown.

Tyler Moody fell on a blocked punt in the end zone to cap off the victory over the Wildcats (0-1, 2-3).

FRANKLIN - Antonio Britt led Franklin with 11 tackles, holding explosive West Point to just two touchdowns.

Isaiah Hudson carried 19 times for 114 yards with two touchdowns and a 2-point conversion run. He added seven tackles for the Broncos (4-0).

Donzelle Shearin totaled 80 yards on five carries with a 42-yard TD run for Franklin, and Elliot Bottoms had 50 yards rushing, including a 20-yard TD run.

Aaron Roane had 16 carries for 108 yards and a TD for the Pointers (4-1).

CHINCOTEAGUE - Nate Hollis ran for 131 yards and a touchdown and passed for 152 to lead the Central Virginia Disciples (5-0) past Chincoteague. Manny McClure ran for a 4-yard TD in the third, and Hollis' 14-yard run in the fourth helped secure the win.

Keshawn Harmon led the charge for the Ponies (1-3), running for a 40-yard touchdown in the first quarter and a 2-yard score in the second.
