Boys: Colonial Beach 84, Franklin 57

T.T. Carey scored half of his team's total points with 42 as Colonial Beach romped past Franklin 84-57 to win the Group A, Region A, Division 1 championship. Carey added 11 rebounds, seven steals and four assists, and Dylan Farinet had 10 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Jeryl Dickerson also scored in double figures for the Drifters with 12 points.

Ashley Lee led the Broncos with 25 points, followed by Denzel Smith (11) and Derrick Thompson (10).

Next for Colonial Beach is the state tournament, with quarterfinals beginning on Saturday.
