Boys: Steward 54, Blessed Sacrament Huguenot 47

Andrew Adkins totaled 14 points, 11 rebounds, five assista and four steals and the No. 3 seed Spartans held the No. 6 seed Knights to one basket in the first quarter and held on to win its Virginia Commonwealth Conference quarterfinal.

Patrick Branin scored 12 points to help Steward advance to a semifinal matchup 8 p.m. Friday with either Southampton Academy or Fuqua.

Deon Watts led Blessed Sacrament Huguenot with 14 points.
