Girls: No. 3 L.C. Bird 60, Manchester 56 (OT)

-- Barbara Sitton scored 13 of her 21 points in the fourth quarter and overtime as L.C. Bird overcame an eight-point deficit to overturn Manchester 60-56 in the Dominion District Thursday night.

Sitton scored eight points and Ruthanne Doherty six of her 15 in the final period as the Skyhawks, No. 3 in the T-D Top 10 Poll, used a 14-6 advantage to extend the game.

Sitton, who hit a 3-pointer to start the OT scoring, added six assists and four rebounds. Zukye Smith had 10 points for L.C. Bird.

Porche Bentley was dominant for the Lancers, adding nine rebounds, six assists and two steals to her team-high 19 points. Jessica Clanton added 13 points and five assists, and Lauren Barnett scored 11 and pulled down 11 rebounds.
