Cosby ranks 4th in state girls basketball poll

The Cosby High School girls basketball team -- ranked No. 1 in the Times-Dispatch Top 10 poll -- is No. 4 in a statewide Group AAA poll released today. Thomas Dale High School's girls rank ninth in the poll, admninistered by The Associated Press.

Here are the rankings for all three groups, with first-place votes in parentheses, record and total points received based on a 10-through-1 voting system:

GROUP AAA

1. Hampton (3) 12-0 69

2. Princess Anne (1) 12-1 66

4. Cosby (2) 10-0 50
