Homestanding Trinity Episcopal used tough defense to overcome an 8-point halftime deficit and defeat No. 10 Collegiate in an League of Independent Schools matchup.

Trinity's Jillian Brown and Jordan Brown applied pressure on Collegiate's perimeter players. When Collegiate was able to get the ball inside, Jennifer Smith made Collegiate's Dominique Meeks work for every point. Meeks had scored 10 in the first half but managed just 5 in the second half.

Collegiate's dismal 8-22 free-throw shooting also contributed to the loss.
