Boys: King’s Fork ends Petersburg’s season in AAA semifinal

Tied at the end of three quarters, the King's Fork Bulldogs scored on seven of its first nine possessions in the final period of the boys Group AAA semifinal and handed the Petersburg Crimson Wave a stunning 73-67 loss tonight at the Siegel Center in Richmond.

The loss ended Petersburg's quest for the state title and a perfect season. They finish with a 30-1 record.

King's Fork (30-1) plays William Fleming (25-4) for the Group AAA title Friday at 8:45 at the Siegel Center.

In tonight's game, trailing by two, Crimson Wave senior Drejon Scott put up a 3-point attempt that lipped out with about 45 seconds to play. King's Fork went 5-8 from the line in the final 31 seconds to maintain its lead.

Scott finished with 20 points for the Crimson Wave

Jaquon Parker had 24 points for the Bulldogs.

I JUST WATCHED THE SLAM FEST SOME BODY PUT ON YOU TUBE. WHERE WAS ALL THAT PLAYING KINGS FORK. THEY MET THEIR MATCH

i hope petersburgh fans are not shock after their first loss. size does matter thats how petersburgh won 30 games in a row. Kings Fork match petersburgh size and pounded them like petersburgh pounded the other teams. so fans dont be shock, the wave met their match. Chris Evans knew about Kings Fork he should’ve told yall how physical Kings Fork was from his years at Deep Creek.
