Mary Beth Danaher stopped 22 of Cosby's 28 shots, but the Titans put three in the net and defeated the Warriors, the Central District runners-up, in the Central Region field hockey tournament quarterfinals.
Taylor Johnson, April Peterson, Kelsey Powell scored for Cosby, the Dominion District regular-season and tournament champion. The Titans extended their winning streak to 12 games.
Titans coach Rachel Mead is back in the region semifinals for the first time since 1999 when she guided James River to the Central Region crown.
