Collegiate wins VIS Division I football title

Collegiate scored twice in the final five minutes to defeat visiting Flint Hill 14-7 in the VIS Division I final today.

Junior quarterback Jake McGee completed a pair of touchdown passes to rally the Cougars after trailing for three quarters. Junior Alex Newsome scored the tying TD with 4:40 to play in the game. Senior running back Teddy Gorrell put together a 66-yard catch and run for the go-ahead score with 1:36 remaining.
