Football: Deep Run 29, John Marshall 12

Michael Wood did it all on defense as Deep Run topped John Marshall (1-2, 3-3) in a Colonial District Matchup.

Wood blocked a kick, recovered a fumble, picked a ball, deflected a pass and recorded three tackles for the Wildcats (2-1, 3-3).

Deep Run's Kenny Williams was 8 of 20 passing for 118 yards and a TD, and Sara Bradley hit three consecutive field goals from 30, 32 and 28 yards, respectively.

Malcolm Bell passed for two TDs for the Justices, including a 20-yard toss to Leshaune Brown.
