Last meeting: Thomas Dale defeated Hermitage 15-7 in the region semifinals in 2002. It was the Panthers' only loss. The Knights beat L.C. Bird in the final. That was Thomas Dale's last appearance in the playoffs. The Knights have won six region Division 6 titles since 1986. They have lost in the final three times. Hermitage won the region crown in 2007. The Panthers lost in the final in 2004. Hermitage won the field-position battle and made few mistakes against Highland Springs. Thomas Dale gave up halftime leads early in the season. Now, the Knights have made the second half their territory. When you think of tossups, this truly is one of them.
