Football: Henrico 40, Caroline 6

Timone Brown and Taiquane McCoy each returned an interception for a touchdown to lead the Warriors (1-0) to a win over host Cavaliers (0-1).

Blaize Torrence opened the scoring by catching a 23-yard pass from Treyvon Robinson and Henrico led 7-6 after one quarter. After DeQuan Martin scored on a 24-yard pass from Robinson, Brown returned an interception 46 yards for a touchdown and McCoy had a 58-yard interception return to give the Warriors a 26-6 lead.

Miguel Nelson and Carrington Clark also scored for Henrico.
