Football: Deep Run 23, Patrick Henry 7

Holden Bass returned a punt 52 yards for a touchdown and finished off a stellar Deep Run defensive performance with a 36-yard interception return in the Wildcats' Colonial District victory.

The Patriots (2-2, 2-5) had four turnovers and managed just 58 yards total offense. Their only score was a 48-yard punt return by Brian Houchens.

Dallas Simmons rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries, and placekicker Sarah Bradley booted her fourth field goal in two weeks for Deep Run (3-1, 4-3).

Max Sarmento led the Wildcats' defense with seven solo tackles, including two sacks.
