Football: Deep Run 27, Thomas Jefferson 18

Deep Run's Kenny Williams passed for two touchdowns and rushed for another as he staged a spirited quarterback duel with Thomas Jefferson counterpart Marvin Robinson and led the Wildcats (4-1, 5-3) to a Colonial District win.

Williams was 13 of 18 for 188 yards and TD tosses of 34 yards to Holden Bass and 11 to Wes Valentine (five catches, 62 yards). Dallas Simmons (19 carries, 81 yards, TD) paced the ground game,

Robinson was 16 of 32 for 332 yards for the Vikings (0-5, 0-8), hooking up with Torian Bland on scoring plays covering 90 and 75 yards. Robinson also ran 6 yards for a score.

Deandre Gerral was a force on defense for Deep Run, recording seven tackles (one sack), recovering a fumble and intercepting a pass. Max Sarmento and Christian Norton contributed seven and six tackles, respectively.
